**Two Star will perform at the celebration**
A sell out is expected at this first-of-its-kind event for Houston, beginning at 7:30pm with a presentation that will quench your curiosities. The story of absinthe and the meaning of terms like artemisia absinthium, Dr. Ordinaire, louche, dose, thujone, and L’Heure Verte will be revealed by renowned Master Distiller of Lucid Absinthe, Ted Breaux with Viridian Spirits, and Legendré Herbsaint historian and collector, Jay Hendrickson.
The presentation will ‘louche’ into a celebration at 9:30pm, with light hors d’oeuvres and free absinthe samplings to taste and compare, including the reissuing of the 1934 recipe of Herbsaint Original. In addition to sangrias, fruit infusions, wines and beers, there will be special cocktails for sale that offer a different twist on absinthe.
